With the latest release of the Race Timer software, we're now supporting a leader-board, similar to what you're accustomed to seeing at the major golf tournaments - where (in this case) all of the classes can be displayed simultaneously, with every rider updated every 10 seconds.

The leaderboard is designed to uniquely handle the case of the hare scramble mode, and the enduro mode as shown in the screen shots below.  The concept is that you can either use the same computer in use at the checkpoint, or you can network another computer, accessing the database in use at the checkpoint, and have the results for every class displayed on a large screen display at any distance from the checkpoint.

In the Hare Scramble mode, the user can elect to display any number of classes. Once the classes are selected, the user can drag each class to any location on the large screen display, and he can also expand or shrink the size of each class - depending on how many riders are in each class.

In the Hare scramble mode, the user can elect whether or not he wants the "detailed" view.  In the detailed view (shown below), the system not only displays the rider info, but also displays the number of laps of each rider and how far each is behind the rider immediately ahead of him.

If you do not elect to show the detailed display, you are presented with only the position, the rider number and rider name - thereby reducing the total amount of space required for each class, allowing you to display more classes on the leaderboard.

The Leader-board in the Enduro mode

The primary difference in the leaderboard in the Enduro mode and the Hare scramble mode is that in the enduro mode, only one class is displayed at one time.  The reason for only one class is that the audience wants to look at the data for each checkpoint, and it would be impossible to display all of the checkpoint data (for all classes) at the same time.

Shown below is the leader-board in use in the Enduro mode.  You'll notice that each class is displayed individually, with a specified amount of time between classes.

The intent of the display below is to point out some of the options for the users. Once you've selected the database you're monitoring, you can then select the classes you wish to display.  You can also increase or decrease the font size in order to optimize how the display fills the real-estate on the large screen display.  You can also adjust the amount of time each class is displayed while waiting to display the next class.
