The first rider through the checkpoint at the end of the first lap was NERO BRANDON, rolling through with a 21:29 lap time, followed by GIODANO JOE. GRAY JOSH filled in the number 3 spot - following by 0:23. Hot on the heels of the leaders were PARKER CHAD and GREER CHRIS, both looking good, and looking to make up time on the leaders. The race was young - there were still plenty of opportunities for either of them to take the win.

We lost 8 riders by the time we'd reached the end of lap 2, with 101 completing lap number 2.

We had a new leader at the end of lap 2, with GIODANO JOE taking the lead away from NERO BRANDON with NERO BRANDON arriving at the checkpoint in the number 2 position - behind by 0:02.

The movers on this lap were COFFEY TRAVIS, heavy on the throttle able to move up 19 places from number 72 to number 53 - meanwhile BALDWIN SARAH fell off the pace and dropped from number 43 to the number 67 position. Riding in third place, GRAY JOSH cranked it up, but was still behind by 0:02. Pushing to gain another spot was, GREER CHRIS finishing lap 2 in fourth place - behind by 0:42. Spectators were seeing some brilliant riding as they watched PARKER CHAD come through the gates in fifth place, trying to eliminate a 0:03 deficit.

We lost 22 riders by the time we'd reached the end of lap 3, with 79 completing lap number 3.

We had a new leader at the end of lap 3, with GRAY JOSH taking the lead away from GIODANO JOE with NERO BRANDON arriving at the checkpoint in the number 2 position - behind by 0:04.

The action on this lap centered on CHERRY LANCE, moving up from number 82 to the number 69 spot - and on WHALEY CHET dropping 51 places - from number 28 to number 79. GIODANO JOE was riding hard, watching as things came unglued behind - but that's their problem .... meanwhile thinking "my job" is to whittle away at the lead and move up a notch to claim the second place, just 0:03 ahead. STINNETT STAN refused to give an inch and came through the gates in fourth place. Riding in fifth place, GREER CHRIS was doing his best to reel in that number 4 spot.

We lost 52 riders by the time we'd reached the end of lap 4, with 27 completing lap number 4.

NERO BRANDON was the first to arrive at the checkpoint on lap 4, giving us a new leader on the track.

The movers on this lap were STROUP DJ, moving up 6 places from number 30 to number 24 - meanwhile KOELLER SEAN dropped from number 18 to the number 27 position. GRAY JOSH was already feeling the length of the race, but blew through the chutes in second place, looking for that second wind. GIODANO JOE owned third place, but with a 1:19 disadvantage. AUSTIN CARL kept a cool head and staked a claim on fourth place, but with a 2:20 disadvantage. Riding like a 'possessed' person - GREER CHRIS was ripping through the checkpoint - but still in fifth place, and trailing by 0:03.

In the end it was an awesome race with 3 different leaders battling to the end, but it was the sustained average speed of 11.81MPH by NERO BRANDON that claimed victory over the efforts of GIODANO JOE, and GRAY JOSH.
