Mounting the Antenna

There are many ways to mount the gate antenna used by the Race Timer system.  In the past I've simply suspended it from the canopy of an easy-up, but the folks in the South Texas Motorcycle Racing Assoc (STORM), have come up with a pretty professional system.  I extend my thanks to the folks from STORM for allowing me to post what they've done with the system.

Since a picture is worth a thousand words, it should be obvious to prospective builders, how to assemble the stand.  Please let me know if you have any questions.

Please note that the STORM solution enables promoters to easily raise and lower the antenna - better supporting the different cycle sizes.

A basic view of the antenna holder showing how the antenna is supported in the frame.
The stand supports raising or lowering the antenna - depending on whether you're using it for scoring the main event or a youth event.
Shown here is the antenna in the "lowered" position.

To the left is a diagram showing how the antenna is raised or lowered.
